Good Morning:
My apartment, which I have nicknamed The Artist’s Garret, has a nice view of the east and south from the fire escape, and as San Francisco rapidly approaches the season of great sunrises, I look forward to this year’s crop of brilliant red-orange sunrises. The old saying “red sky in morning, sailor take warning” is very true in this town, but somehow a few months of rain doesn’t seem so troublesome.
The first picture of the season, taken a few days ago with my Nikon D40:

Amar Naik: Thanks! I liked your picture of the road, too. Vonn Scott Bair
What a lovely place to wake up to 🙂 And no fog!!!
Tina Schell: Yes, sometimes San Francisco can look not terribly shabby on a fogless morning. Vonn Scott Bair
nice way to start the day
robpaine: Yes indeed. As much as I love a pea soup-thick foggy morning, San Francisco does present some stunning reds, and I’ll probably get to publish even more shots like this during the winter. Vonn Scott Bair
