KJ’s Grocery was a tiny corner store that specialized in a surprisingly large selection of organic produce in a surprisingly small space. It sat on Divisadero and Page for decades, tended by a Asian couple who kept a tiny television on a local Asian-language station all day long. They finally retired last year; they earned and deserved it, but abandoned the store without a new tenant. The funny thing is that the store somehow has not received the usual ministrations of the local graffiti artists. It remained whitewashed and untouched for months.
Until this week. Presenting the only decoration anyone has affixed to the abandoned store.
