The Insouciance of a Haight Street Clothing Store (Weekly Photo Challenge: Signs)

Good Evening:

Any day when I can use the word “insouciance” is a good day.

Lots of stores in the Upper Haight use sandwich board signs to advertise their wares. But some stores are bold enough to justify their continued existence using the wise words of others. And any store that cites John Waters is quite all right with me, even though I’ll never need to enter it.

  1. what a great find on these signs! Love each one. I saw some sandwich board signs at the upscale shops on a recent trip to Charlottesville – but they were all boring – no quotes – just sales and maybe a “Happy Fall” but here you found Waters – and Wilde – and the lady Larratt…. great take on the signs theme 🙂
